Our fabulous Sabina got down to business with our Berry Latte Mix and shared the recipe with us! These balls are not only great for fuelling your workout, but are also great as an afternoon snack or as an after dinner treat.
'I love making homemade energy balls. Not only are they less expensive than most energy bars at the supermarket, but you can control the ingredients that go into them.
If you’ve never made energy balls these Berry Peanut Butter Balls are great ones to start with. You only need a good processor, a rubber spatula and a handful of ingredients that you may already have.' - Sabina
Ingredients:
4 dates
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup flax
3 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tsp coffee powder
1 tsp chia seeds
3 tsp of cocoa powder
1/2 cup plant milk
1 tsp protein powder (optional)
1 tsp Wellness Lab Berry Latte Mix
2 cups oats
Method:
Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. If the dough is dry add more milk. Scoop the dough into tablespoon size portions and roll into a ball with your hands. I like dipping my energy balls into desiccated coconut.
Store the energy ball in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for several months.
Enjoy with coffee or Wellness Lab vegan hot chocolate or berry latte!
