Why Chai Spices & Plant Protein? Legend has it that Masala (spices) Chai (tea) was created in India more than 5000 years ago as a healing beverage, by royal appointment. The drink quickly became popular and various chai recipes emerged that varied between families and regions. The original drink contained no black tea leaves but would’ve included cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, black peppercorns and cloves. We’ve carefully paired spicy notes to create an exotic chai latte. It’s caffeine free and instead we’ve added plant protein to make it rich in protein and fibre!
The blend is gently spiced and aromatic. If you like it sweet, just add a little honey, agave syrup or sweet milk like coconut. It’s pretty grand.
